Smoking Cessation - Ready to Quit?
stop-smoking If you are looking at this section, you are half way there.
You don’t need me to tell you the benefits of stopping smoking. You already know what it is doing to your health, then there is the cost, the smell and the social awkwardness as you are forced to stand outside in isolation.
If quitting was easy though you would have done it already. It’s an addiction that is hard to kick, its ingrained in your subconscious that you need that next cigarette.
With a 90-minute session we can upgrade your subconscious mind and you can return to being a non-smoker for the rest of your life.
Hypnotherapy for smoking has a higher success rate than nicotine replacement and acupuncture. It can help you to harness the cravings and strengthen your own will power and determination to quit once and for all.
With 20 cigarettes costing around £9 a packet and steadily rising if you have a 20 a day habit you could save the following. What could you do with that extra money, what would it mean to your family?
  • £9 per day
  • £63 per week
  • £273 per month
  • £3285 per year
  • £32850 over 10 years
Confidence - Are you a confident person?
confidence We all know that one person who can stand up in front of 100 people and give an excellent presentation without a falter in their voice or a trace of blush on their cheeks. The person who walks into an interview and come out knowing they have got the job. The person who can walk up to anyone an ask them out on a date.
You can become more confident, you might have been confident at one time and that fearlessness was dented with a specific event or you might feel that you never had that faith in oneself.
If you have an important event coming up driving test, presentation, job interview or you just want to feel more confident in every day situations we can work together to discover than inner confidence and work to ensure you have techniques to deal with every situation you find yourself in.
Anxiety and Stress
anxiety A feeling of immense pressure, overwhelming anxious thoughts and feeling unable to cope with everyday situations. These are all examples of anxiety.
Anxiety effects everyone differently, some people are able to cope with whatever life throws at them and others can suffer from crippling panic attacks which devastate their life, others have terrible inner thoughts about the biggest and smallest of daily tasks.
Both of which impact on the individual’s life and the lives of those around them.
Anxiety can lead to depression, can affect confidence, concentration and sleep patterns. It can also cause physical symptoms.
Stress is similar to anxiety but is a normal reaction to a threatening situation. Stress generally makes someone feel light headed, have a racing heart and a churning stomach.
Stress and anxiety can also lead to addictions as a way of coping with the symptoms. Smoking, eating, drinking, and exercise the list is endless but any addiction can make an issue feel bigger and harder to deal with.
Chronic stress can lead to high blood pressure, which places extra strain on your heart and affect your immune system.
During hypnotherapy sessions we can look at techniques to help with both stress and anxiety working out together where it manifests from and giving you tools to enable you to deal with the situations you find yourself in.
IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
ibs Irritable Bowel Syndrome effects many people and most don’t know what causes it. It has been linked to emotional stress effecting the body’s digestive system and can also be triggered by certain foods.
If you have a diagnosis of IBS from your GP I would be happy to work with you. Gathering a detailed picture of when symptoms are at their worst, when they first developed and what was going on in your life at that time that could have effected or triggered your IBS.
National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has recognised hypnotherapy as a possible treatment for IBS in those who haven’t responded to other treatments.
Alleviating the symptoms of IBS can lead to less stress and therefore a better quality of life for the individual concerned.
Fertility
fertility The HEFA (Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority) estimate that 1 in 7 couples have difficulty conceiving that is about 3.5 million people.
NICE (the National Institute for Clinical Excellence) defines infertility as failing to become pregnant after two years of regular unprotected sex.
25% of people who seek medical advice are diagnosed with unexplained infertility which means there is no physical explanation for the inability to conceive.
Hypnotherapy can help couples to reclaim their natural fertility and conceive.
We look at the emotions and stress that becomes a physical barrier and how to break them down so they don’t effect hormone levels and prevent conception.
We work together with the couple sometimes together and at other time during separate 1 to 1 sessions a lot of the session is around guided imagery and visualising the natural course of events.
I.V.F.
Several studies have also taken place that show that hypnotherapy can be advantageous when undergoing IVF this could be as a couple or as a single individual.
Been able to visualise what is happening in your body and the outcome that you are going to achieve is a great way to incorporate hypnotherapy along with the relaxing aspects of the therapy to reduce the stress levels associated with IVF.
HypnoBirthing
So you want to give birth the natural way, no drugs minimal intervention. You can do this with hypnobirthing.

We will work together on techniques including self-hypnosis to ensure that you are able to fully focus and control your own pain levels.
This can result in a quicker labour, less complications and discharged home quicker.
This can be offered on a one to one basis or as a group therapy.
Fears and Phobias
fear What’s the difference between a fear and a phobia?
A phobia is a more extreme reaction. You will likely get a physical reaction dizziness, sweating, shaking or heart racing. You likely know you are been irrational about it but that does not help, it can lead you to feeling isolated as other people do not understand.
A phobia is usually a learnt behaviour from a one off bad experience which means because it is learnt it is relatively easy to fix. Under hypnosis we just have to give your subconscious mind an “upgrade” to a better learnt behaviour. It can usually be resolved with one session.
A phobia might not affect your every day life it might only be when you come to do that thing. Good examples are flying, needles, hospitals/dentists, spiders, confined spaces, open spaces or other animals. The list is not exhaustive and it’s what affects you. Phobias are also easily passed onto our children as they see the extreme reaction and think it normal behaviour.
Fear is not as extreme as a phobia but can be towards the same type of things mentioned. Fear is a natural emotion and it is there to keep us safe and because of this you can be assured that your fear would always be reduced to an acceptable level for you to cope with.
If you feel a fear is getting out of control and starting to affect your everyday life, please get in touch and we can discuss how to improve this.
Insomnia
insomnia Have you like me gone to bed only to still be awake hours later, with the day’s events going around in your head? You feel frustrated in the knowledge that the next day you will be exhausted, stressed and generally not been happy.
Long term insomnia can lead to anxiety, depression and a feeling of isolation. Unable to work, unable to keep friendships and negative effects on your family life.
We can work together to look at what is causing your insomnia and under hypnosis we can put this right making sure you
Pain Management
pain Are you struggling to manage your pain? Have you tried pain killers with no avail, endless trips to see your GP, hospital appointments and time off work.
Constant pain can leave you exhausted and feeling stressed and isolated.
What if you could use the power of your subconscious mind to control your pain, get it to a manageable level for you?
There are several techniques that we can use together to find the best solution for you to naturally control the sensations that you are experiencing and get you back to feeling yourself without the need for painkillers and once you have learnt to control that sensation that is effecting you so much you will be able to use them at any time to keep the discomfort at bay.
